Team admins can either update billing information, download invoices, or downgrade the Todoist Business subscription. If you're an admin who needs to make these changes, here are the steps:
Access team billing settings
- Log in to your Todoist account at https://todoist.com.
- Click your team name in the sidebar.
- Click Settings at the top-right.
- Click Subscription under your team's name in the left-hand sidebar.
- Click Manage team billing.
Make changes to the subscription
In the team billing settings, you've several options:
- Review when your Business subscription will end, and how much your renewal's going to be.
- Click Add payment method to add a new payment method. Here's a list of supported payment methods.
- Click Update information to update your billing name and address.
- Click the invoice you need below the Invoice History section to download a copy. If you upgraded to Todoist Business before March 2022, you can access any invoice created before this date right in the Subscription settings.
Warning
If your Business subscription ends and there's no active payment method, the plan will cancel and revert to the Beginner plan. Your data is secured, but you'll lose access to Business features.
Cancel your subscription
If you’re the admin of a Todoist team, and you no longer need the Business plan, here’s how to cancel your Business subscription:
- Click your team in the sidebar.
- Click Subscription under the team name.
- Click Cancel plan.
- Share what you liked most about the Business plan.
- Click Cancel Business plan.
- Select the reason for the cancellation. Provide any feedback you may have about the plan.
- Click Cancel Business plan. This opens a new window in your browser.
- Click Cancel plan. You’ll see your plan type and the end of the billing period.
- Click Cancel plan to confirm.
Note
If you’ve canceled your Business subscription within 30 days of purchase, get in touch with us to receive a refund.
Change billing currency
If you need to change the billing currency, you'll want to first cancel your Todoist Business plan. Then, start a new Business subscription and select your preferred currency.
Change the billing email address
Invoices for the Business plan are sent exclusively to the admin who upgraded the team. If that person is no longer with the team, get in touch with us. We'll assign a new team admin to receive invoices for the plan.
Update past invoices
If you’ve changed your billing address or VAT ID, you won’t be able to retroactively edit and apply these changes to past invoices. If you need an updated invoice, get in touch with us.
Transfer credit from the subscription
If you've received credit for the remaining time of your Business subscription, this isn't transferrable to another team or plan. You can, however, request for a refund if you were charged for the subscription in the last 30 days.
