Whether you want to add an image, file, link, or other attachment to your Todoist, you can do so without even opening the app. Here’s how:
Upload a file to Todoist
- Open the photo or file that you’d like to upload to Todoist.
- Tap the share sheet icon.
- Select Todoist from the share sheet.
- Enter a name for the task. Assign a due date or add it to a project, if needed.
- Tap the submit icon to save your task.
- Open the photo or file that you’d like to upload to Todoist.
- Tap Share.
- Tap the Todoist icon in the share sheet.
- If you want to attach the file to an existing task:
- Select Todoist Comment.
- Select a project and pick a task.
- Add a comment.
- Tap the send icon to attach the file.
- If you want to attach the file to a new task:
- Select Todoist Task.
- Enter a name for the task. Assign a due date or add it to a project, if needed.
- Tap the send icon to save your task.
Add a link to Todoist
- Open the link in a browser.
- Tap the share sheet icon under the address bar.
- Select Todoist from the share sheet.
- Enter the name of the task. Assign a due date or add it to a project, if needed.
- Tap the submit icon to save your task.
Note
If the Todoist icon is missing in the Share menu, restart your device and share a file or link again.
- Open the link in a browser.
- Tap the address bar to highlight the link.
- Tap the share icon.
- Tap Todoist in the share sheet.
- If you want to add the link as a comment to an existing task:
- Select Todoist Comment.
- Select a project and pick a task.
- Tap the send icon to add the comment.
- If you want to add the website as a new task:
- Select Todoist Task.
- Make changes to the task, if needed (for example: edit the task name or select a project).
- Tap the send icon to save the task.
Add an attachment to a Todoist task
- Open Quick Add.
- Tap Attachment.
- Choose between Camera, Last Photo Taken, Photo & Video Library, Files, or Record Audio.
- Select the file you want to attach.
- Save your task.
