    Change your password

    Update your Todoist password on any device to keep your account secure. If you log in with Google, Facebook, or your Apple Account, you use that account’s password instead, and you change it with that provider. You can also add a Todoist password at any time.

    Change your password

    1. Click your avatar in the top-left.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Account.
    4. Under Password, select Change password.
    5. Enter your current password.
    6. Enter your new password twice to confirm the change.
    7. Click Change password to save your changes.

    4. Click Manage Account. This will open your Todoist settings in a browser.
    5. Click Change password.
    6. Enter your current password.
    7. Enter your new password again.
    8. Click Change password to save your changes.

    3. Tap Account.
    4. Tap Change Password.

    7. Tap the checkmark icon to save your changes.

    8. Tap the up arrow icon at the top-right to save the changes.

    Add a password

    If you choose to sign up for Todoist with your Google, Facebook, or Apple Account, you won't be prompted to set a password. You'll need to use that account's login credentials to access your Todoist account.

    To prevent losing access to your account, add a separate account password that’s specific to Todoist. You’ll also need one before you can disconnect Google, Facebook, or your Apple Account from Todoist.

    1. Click your avatar.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Account.
    4. Under Password, select Add password.
    5. Enter your new password.

    6. Tap the checkmark icon to save your changes.

    If the Add password option fails, and you can't add a new account password, use the Forgot password page to reset and add an account password. Then, log in to Todoist with your account email address and the new password.
