Change your email address


Changing the email address you use with your Todoist account is quick and easy! Here is how:

Note

You can only link one email address with your Todoist account.

  1. Click your avatar in the top-left.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Manage account.
  4. Under your email address, select Change email.
  5. Enter your new email address, and again to confirm.
  6. Enter your password.
  7. Select Change email.

Warning

If you're using your Google, Facebook or Apple account to sign in, you'll need to add a password to your Todoist account before you can change your email address. You can do this by going to Settings and selecting Account.

Furthermore, if you've enabled two-factor authentication for your account, you will need to get a code from your authentication app in order to change your email address. Learn more.

FAQ

If you want to use an email from a different Todoist account, log in to the other account and change the address there first. This way the email will be freed up to re-use on the other account. Alternatively, if you don't want to keep your second account, you can also delete it.
