To downgrade from Todoist Business to either Todoist Pro or the Free plan, cancel the Business subscription first. Admins only can cancel a Todoist Business account.
When you downgrade to the Pro or Free plan, you will lose the legacy pricing (for example: education or non-profit discount) for the Business plan. You can absolutely stay on the Business plan, but the new team workspace won’t be particularly helpful for you.
When you cancel your Todoist Business account, the Team Inbox will be deleted and can’t be restored. If you don’t want to lose the tasks in this view, move them to a different project before canceling the Business plan.
Cancel the Todoist Business plan
- Log in to the Todoist account on https://todoist.com.
- Click your avatar in the top-left.
- Select Business admin.
- Select the Account & Billing tab.
- Click Cancel Todoist Business and select the reason for your cancellation.
- Enter your Todoist password and click Cancel Todoist Business.
If you're using your Google, Facebook or Apple account to sign in, you'll need to add a password to your Todoist account first by going to your Settings and selecting Account.
Once your Business subscription has been canceled, you will be automatically switched to the Free plan. To get more benefit from the advanced features, you can upgrade to the Pro plan at any time through our website, Google Play or the App Store.
If your Business team still had some remaining subscription time before you downgraded to the Free plan, please contact us, so that we could look into it and convert it into Pro balance accordingly.
