Show/Hide Todoist Sidebar Keyboard Shortcut

GK

It would be very useful to be able to show/hide the Todoist sidebar in firefox with a single keyboard shortcut instead of having to click the button on the toolbar every time. Having to click every time I want to glance at my tasks or hide them really interrupts work flow.

Is there anyway to work around this at the moment? What code does clicking the button on the toolbar run? Would it be possible to modify some settings in firefox to set a hotkey to show/hide the toolbar?

Hello George,

Thank you very much for your suggestion, we appreciate it and we'll see what can be done in this matter.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround to open the plugin window with a keyboard shortcut right now. As an alternative, you could separate the plugin window from Firefox using the icon in the bottom-right corner (next to the "Logout" link). This would create a new window for this plugin and therefore allow you to use Alt+Tab to quickly switch the active tab.

Best regards,
David

This is odd. I actually found that there is a shortcut key assigned to this function. "Alt+Q" toggles the todoist sidebar in firefox.

This was not posted anywhere. I found it in my attempts to edit directly the firefox plugin and to my surprise found this line in the todoist_sidebar.xul:

<keyset id="mainKeyset">
<key id="key_opentodoist_sidebar" oncommand="XULTodoistFirefox.toggleTodistSidebar();" key="q" modifiers="alt" />
</keyset>

Alt+Q works as expected.

Do you guys not publicize this for some reason? Or is it somewhere and I missed it (probably not since you did not mention it in your response).
