Linux App

I would like to have todoist for my Linux system (Ubuntu)

At the moment I use Fogger, a application which can bring web-apps into my Ubuntu desktop. But it's a very fresh tool and it has some bugs in there (Language doesn't work nice and Offline mode doesn't work). A real Linux/Ubuntu App of todoist would be nice.

Hello Felix,

thank you for your suggestion, we appreciate it. Please note that Todoist will soon be fully accessible offline thanks to HTML5 offline storage. You're welcome to test it at http://html5.todoist.com/

Best regards,
David

I to would like a ubuntu desktop app, however given David's comment I suppose there is no point in building desktop apps for various OS's when everyone can use it in html5 offline. Dev time could be better spent.

Is the offline feature live now?

+1 For the Ubuntu desktop app, regardless of HTML5 (or are there plans to discontinue support for the Windows and Mac versions?).

I'll agree on a Linux/Ubuntu app being desirable, especially as my
Windows XP desktops are likely going to be turned into Ubuntu/Kubuntu
desktops.

I wonder: would an Ubuntu "panel app" be a good enough start of a solution? Maybe something that simply lets us

+ enter a new task like the "+" button on the web app
+ launch the web app in our fave browser with a click and/or keyboard shortcut
+ display reminders at the proper time
