This would be amazing! I have yet to find a project management suite that provides a complete package. As far as I can tell, the gantt chart is the only thing that Todoist is missing.

This is a strange feature to request, given Todoist's lack of dependencies and time estimates. I decided I had other priorities for my task manager, and felt not having these features was an acceptable tradeoff.

Yes, christian, it is a strange request, but if at some future time those time estimate features are implemented (it's being considered), gantt charts would be a nice feature. of course all of these would be less of an issue with better export support, which they are working on now...

I think some sort of timeline / gant chart would help those bigger projects that require long-term commitment.

This would be absolutely brilliant!!

Todoist offers hands down the best checklist experience. If this simplicity and smoothness translates to a clean and simple Gantt tool, i'll drop anything Gantt and get everyone around on Todoist Premium.

I would prefere Todoist to retain its zen-like interface and select only the basic functions.
Most of us using Gantt need a simple and intuitive tool to track projects, schedules and tasks... Microsoft Project like complication (not complexity) is total nonsense. On the other hand, cleaner solutions as Teambox lack essential features and simply crash frequently.

Please add Gantt to Todoist!

Make a visualisation in Gant Diagram (like in Wrike, MS Project, Project management)

No thank you -- please keep focus on core to-do functionality.

There are great, standalone Gantt apps / websites available, and usually it's best *not* to tie them to your dynamic, day-to-day task list.

This could be made very minimalist... like the Karma graph.... and allow each project be a different color so you can see how your to-do plans lay out over longer term in a gantt chart... would be tremendously helpful to make sure that your plans over the longer term actually make sense

Something visual is definitely missing from Todoist.

Btw to clarify - to respond to a comment about making Todoist complicated, I don't think anyone here means build microsoft project management or replicate Wrike. There's full blown packages for doing that kind of work in the professional sphere... and getting Boeings ready to leave factory. That's not what we're talking about (or at least myself).

What we're discussing here is a light-touch long-term view of our to-dos. Right now, it ends up being very easy to pile on too much work on the next 1-2 days and keep moving it forward because there's no long term view whatsoever.

That's why something that gives you a quick visual snapshot of what the work looks like in next X months would be super helpful.

Well said Safa! Light-weight, long-term visual view perspectives is exactly what I'm in search of using Todoist.
