Bulk add multiples tasks.
The ability to paste multiple tasks into a project from a text file or imported by email or imported from another file (csv, text, opml) is extremely important. They can be pasted as subtasks or primary tasks, but there must be an easy way to get a list of tasks into Todoist without re-typing them.
Requested in 2011. Is this planned? Definitely required when MIGRATING from a competing task management system...
Yes it's planned, but we are working on quite a few other things at the moment. Importing from other services is one of our concerns though.
Bummer. I'm sure I'd be migrated by that time. Oh well, I'd better get to it!
Thanks for your lightning fast reply. :)
I'm entrenched in Toodledo... really like some Todoist features. would LOVE an import.
If not an import, at least let me add multiple tasks at a time (like 5 or so) so I can at least copy / paste Action items from meeting notes..
Do another thing
Do something else
Also, what are the things you are working on now? Would love to know what may be "coming soon".
Currently we're working on implementing sharing projects, delegating tasks, saved filters and some other improvements to the UI.
Any update on this?
An option to export a task list and import it from a TXT file is already available and you can see how it works in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rl_CLGY_3o
Agree with Duncan Shannon... would like to be able to add multiple tasks at one time. I copy/paste from my meeting notes as well, and one at a time entry isn't efficient.
I would like to be able to batch add multiple tasks at a time like in Gtasks. This is really useful if you are trying to create a new list of things you have to do/get, such as a grocery list or camping list or construction list.
