An alternative payment option
Please provide customers and potential customers with an alternative payment method, something other than Paypal. Google checkout would work for me.
Paypal can be difficult to use for several reasons. One that I find particularly frustrating is caused by having lived in different countries. Paypal refuses to let me change the country on my Paypal account which is hooked into my primary email address.
There are others reasons why Paypal is bad but my point is please offer your customers alternatives.
not quite sure what pay pals problem is. I gave them 3 credit cards all of which were valid and they would not accept any of them..
most site I deal with take credit cards direct.
When I try paying with PayPal, but one needs to give a credit card number. I don't have a credit card, that's why I use PayPal.
Could you consider providing other PayPal-Payment-Methods than credit card? Otherwise I can not buy the commercial version of Todoist.
please tell me:
- When you're trying to pay for the subscription, do you have any money uploaded to PayPal (at least enough to cover one yearly payment)?
- Did you link a bank account to your PayPal account?
- Did you set up (in PayPal) to use funds uploaded to PayPal first for any payments?
I have not uploaded any money to PayPal, I have configured it to directly take money from my bank account. Maybe the problem is that my bank account is German. But I have successfully used PayPal to pay in other foreign shops before.
PayPal tells me that for this shop a credit card is necessary, because booking money directly from the bank account was disabled by the shop.
Is it possible to activate this option for you?
I had a credit card and pay pal would not take it. I actually tried 3 different cards and they did not accept any of them (all the card were good that was not the issue). I had to call pay pal they then made a small deposit in my checking account. I had to confirm the amount before I was cleared to charge.
not very convenient, the process took 2 days and a phone call.
the customer service a pay pal were very nice though- but 2 days for what should be a simple, quick process..........?
it seems that there has been a PayPal issue for European Customers in particular. It has been fixed now, please try to subscribe again and let me know if you still experience any difficulties using PayPal.

I just checked it again, I still would need to register a creditcard to pay, paying with direct debit still is blocked.
I'm a treasurer of a nonprofit that uses PayPal. Contributors have the option to pay with PayPal or a credit card. No credit card validation is required.
I have to assume Todoist has and will continue to lose customers if the payment process is not changed.
I want my work to pay for premium todoist, so I want to be invoiced and have work send a check. I do not want to use my personal Paypal account for this.
Please do make payment methods available such as Google Checkout, 2CO, Moneybookers and an alternate Credit/Debit Card Processing service. I would really love to get a premium subcription, though the problem is I cannot use Paypal

This email was actually sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, the only address featured on the PayPal automated email (in Indonesian) I received after finally completing my payment.
I'm not very impressed with your payment method.
I have tried to use two credit cards that I routinely use for Internet transactions, both were refused by thre PayPal interface.
I then had to resort to a local Indonesian credit card that I don't like to use online (That's how much I wanted your application)
The stupid Paypal interface then resent me to an Indonesian language page that I had to translate to make sure of what I should click...
Please use something else that Paypal and a Paypal interface to collect payments. Paypal is probably amongst the most painful payment provider for your international customers.
I already wanted to go premium several times. The only thing holding me back is PayPal. Please provide other options of payment.
The sole reason why I did not re-new my account was having to deal with Pay-Pal.
I want to have the ability to pay direct to the vendor via credit card, without having to jump through the Pay-Pal hoops....

Tried to upgrade, Paypal would not accept the card. There is no problem with the card.
There is no option to pay with deposited Paypal funds, only with a card.
You can download our Andoid app and pay through the Google Play Store.
I appreciate your awesome support and that there are actually alternative methods of payment through other third-parties. However, if I would purchase your service it would be a business expenses and having to report it for reimbursement instead of just using my business credit card is not going to work for me.
Just to be clear, you may not have had problems with PayPal yourself but there are a gazillion people who have:
As a corporate citizen in the small venture and startup universe, you really should learn more about what kind of company you force your customers to do business with.

I already showed your app to my colleagues. But they cannot pay either, as we have credit cards emitted by the same bank.
Unfortunatelly because of PayPal we'll have to look for another solution :(
Is there a chance you'll accept credit cards directly soon?
PayPal should accept direct credit card payments (after clicking on the "don't have a PayPal account, pay with a credit card" link).
Alternatively, you can pay using our mobile apps. Through the Android app you can pay using the Google Play Store and through the iOS app - the Apple Store.

I didn't see this thread before; but yes, my direct credit card payment has been refused multiple times, with no reason given.
I don't know how others feel, but integration with Google Checkout has been very good from a user experience side for myself.
(And share some of the above sentiments: I cannot use my email address to access my abandoned PayPal account; and since direct payment merely refuses the cards— which I use for several other purchases consistently— I'm left with no payment options.)
Oh, and I'm sorry— I suppose it might be helpful: I'm a United States customer with an originating card, no address moves, and the card is under the most used card brand (Vxxx).

You can now use a direct credit card payment which will not be processed by PayPal :)
