Anyone else having Quick Add shortcut problems lately?

I have version 5 (153) and the quick add shortcut has stopped working properly. When I click it, the 'new task wizard' appears, but the Todoist app isn't brought on top of all the windows, so I can't see what I'm typing.

Clicking Shift+CMD+A from anywhere used to bring Todoist into focus, put it on top of all other windows and allow you to fill in the wizard to create a new task, now it's unusable because you can't see what you are typing.

Hi Rob,

Try clearing the cache for it (settings menu) and even clearing the cache for Safari. Does it continue after doing so?

I cleared the app cache and that has not resolved this issue.
selecting Quick Add from the Top status does open the entry window in todoist but the app stays minimized.

Please try un-installing it, clear safari cache again, download from Todoist.com/Mac and re-install.

I have a feeling you may be on an older version, slightly.

This did not help to resolve the quick add feature. I am on V5 (153).

Well, I'm always a bit reluctant to try to fix things with suggestions that are likely guesses rather than proven fixes for known issues, more so after someone else has tried them (Scott).

But, as suggested, I've clicked on the cog icon on the app, gone to Todoist Settings and looked everywhere, but can't see anything that lets me clear the cache. I search support and googled where it is. No joy and 15 mins of my life wasted.

It turns out that clearing the cache is done in the Preferences menu, not settings.

So, I've done that and it still doesn't work.

I've tried clearing Safari's cache too (no idea why this would help, I never use the web version and never use Safari, but I gave it a go anyway). This didn't work.

Next cleared Todoist's caches, deleted the app and then re-installed it (even though I have the latest version). Guess what.....this didn't work either.

Next, I re-recorded the keyboard shortcut to a different set of keys. Same problem.

To me, this is a bug in the release. Clearly the command is received as it starts the new task input dialog, it's just not triggering the "open me and put me on top of other windows like I have just been clicked on" part.

Hello Rob,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, this is a bug in the latest release and we are working on it right now, we'll release an update next week which will address this issue.
