Choose camera when adding scanned documents from Android

When I select "camera" to scan a document whith mi smarphone and add it to a Todoist note, the only option is using the phone default camera.

When using this camera the image obtained is worse and and the file heavier than the ones ou can get for example when you use evernote scan feature.

Is there any integration, workaround or setting to select, when you are adding a pic or a scan to todoist, to select quickly the app you want to choose (f.e. device camera for pictures or scanning camera for documents.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Joaquin,

I can't reproduce this, the app always asks me to choose the camera app on my device and it will continue asking if I use "Just once". However, if I set one camera app to "Always" open up, it will no longer ask. That said, did you select this option or does the default camera app have an option to be always used by default?

Sorry David,

I didn't explain myself properly.

I was meaning that you can't change the default camera when you add a pic to a note. Todoist doesn't give the option of selecting other cameras (like CanScanner f.e.) and my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S4) doesn't give the option to change the defalult camera.

So now, when I scan, and I don't want to use te device default camera ( wich is worse for documents), I have to do too many steps:

1) Create a new task in Todoist
2) Open CamScanner
3) Scan the document with CamScanner
3) In CamScaner share the document, and select the Todoist task created in step 1.

Any idea about how to simplify this process?

There is no real way to change this, most apps have to use the default camera. Can you not use CamScanner, scan the document, then in the Todoist notes area, upload the image that it created.
