Confusing/misleading reminders settings UI

I was not receiving reminders for tasks on my Android device, and I couldn't figure out why. I had followed the advice posted in other threads to log out and log back in, but I still was not getting them.

Then I looked through settings and I found a fairly confusing UI. In Settings > Notifications, I had Notifications turned on. And based on the list of Notifications settings, it appeared that I had "Reminders" also enabled. However, when I went into the Reminders sub-setting, I noticed that the switch was toggled "Off". When I turned that to "On", my task reminders started working again.

I think it's very confusing that in the Notifications settings, the Reminders sub-setting item does not change state based on the On/Off state of the actual Reminders setting. If it did, it would be much more clear when Notifications > Remidners are turned off.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your feedback. The reason for that is the variety of notifications, aside from reminders you can get alerts related to sharing, the daily review and the quick-add icon, though you're right, the default behavior for reminders could mirror the setting for Notifications so that you can still turn it off separately, but it would go on when you enable notifications.

I've passed it to our developers and we'll look into adjusting it.
