Add a file link

how can I add a link to a local file (DOCX)?
So I can open the document from the task and continue working.
The document should stay on my PC (not be uploaded).

Thank you!

Hello Olli,

That's unfortunately not possible right now, but we will consider adding such option in future updates.

would be cool if I have a task that tells me to continue a concept (a Word document) and I can open the document with one click.

Please also allow file links.

Web links look like this:
https://todoist.com (Todoist)

File links could look like this:
file://d:\my documets\project report.docx (Finish Management report)

Hi, I agree, this would be a highly appreciated feature. It would also enable us to link to an email in the mail app for mac. Please please add this feature!

This is a critical function for me. Having a copy of a document in the Todoist cloud does me no good. Having a link to a file (or files) I'm working on within a task is huge. I gave this up when I move from OmniFocus to Todoist.

Link to a local file would be great to be able to specify.

I was used to this with OmniFocus and just realized this is not possible Todoist :'-(
I relied on this function daily.
