Font Type

What is the font used for tasks for the Windows Desktop app? I would like to streamline my interface and make this my Windows font as well.

Hello Corey,

We use the "Open Sans" font across all web-based platforms incl. the Windows app. You can get them for free directly from Google :-)

Great! Thanks a bunch. I used to use Wunderlist but Todoist has more powerful features between devices.

It you be very nice if we could choose between a few font types. I find the current font hard to read!!

Yes is there a way for us to change the font type?

Hi Rajesh,

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment. We may consider such option in the future though :-)

In Google Chrome environment (i.e. for web access, Chome extension and Chome app) the font can be changed via CSS-tweaking (directly or via extensions like Stylish). Though, it is rather a power user's approach.

Thanks for the suggestion. I use the Mac App, so I guess there's no way to get around that until the app itself supports font change.

@David Trey
The only thing I've found on Open Sans was the site where you can choose to download and use if you're building a website.
If I go into Chrome settings and try to change the fonts used - it only changes the fonts I'm writing with (like this right now -> it shows in Verdana as I chose it) but not which font the Todoist will show.
I have a feeling that something has changed lately.

The font shown in Todoist in Chrome ( Safari as well) and in Todoist Mac app, they're all the same, see the attached image.
I believe that the font was more "rounded" before, now it's quite narrow and "tall", looks like Ariel ..

Please advise here.

Hello Dragan,

Yes, we have changed our fonts in a recent update :-)

Thanks David but I'm not sure the smiley was appropriate there, hehe, because I liked the old style better.
Please see the screenshots, it seems your support pages are keeping the old font (am I wrong here?) while the Todoist tab shows the newer design.
I'm only talking the Chrome environment here.

Hi Dragan,

Yes, that's right. The font in support is different. We will pass your feedback to our development team for consideration. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much.
I'm with Rajesh here, would really love to be able to change the fonts, like in Omni Focus (cough cough...) or other apps, mostly because TD looks different on my MacBook Pro Retina 15 compared to using the ACD 20" (yes, some of us are still on those great monitors), then my PC at work, tablets of all kinds etc.

I'll probably go back to Wunderlist. Why: The new font is not acceptable for me

@norman reimann
With all do respect, it takes a lot more than a font change to move me from Todoist ;-) ;-)

@Dragan Ruzic
for me it's just important! What should I do with the best tools when it no longer looks beautiful?
