Task via Email with Shared Project

It appears there is no way to create a task via email and have that email available to other people in a shared project. Is that correct? Clicking on the task/email title from another account shows some progress bars and then nothing happens.

This would be a very nice addition to the Business version. Details for the task are often inside the email and having to retype all the details for each task adds a lot of overhead. If it isn't possible, maybe an option for including the email text as a comment for that task?

Any thoughts?

Hello Ryan,

This is possible, but only through one of our 2 email features.

If you're using our Outlook plugin and the "Add email as task" link, then in this case, the email will not be accessible to anyone as you're creating a local link pointing to a message of a certain ID so if the other person doesn't have it (and they won't), it won't work.

However, if you right-click on a project, choose "Email tasks to this project", get the email address of this project and send/forward messages to this address, then the entire body of this message will become a task note. You won't have a link to this message, though.

Best regards,
