Todoist on computer not opening but working fine on ipad

Normally Todoist works fine on my computer but, as of today:

When I double click the Todoist icon on my laptop nothing happens, it won't open.

When I try and open it from elsewhere in my computer, nothing happens it won't open.

When I restart my computer and try, todoist does open.

When I close todoist then try and open it again, it won't open.

Todoist always works fine on my ipad mini.

What's gone wrong?

Hello Sue,

When you open the app right after you reboot your computer, they you are launching it just like any other app. Then, if you click on the "X" button at the top, it will not completely quit, but it will close and hide to the system tray.

Once there, you can't launch it again since it's already running so to bring it back, you can either double-click on the red TD icon in the system tray (notifications area, bottom-right corner) or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T

If you don't like this behavior and would prefer to quit the app each time you use the "X" key, right-click on the TD icon in the tray, go to "Configurations" and here you can set it to quit upon closing. However, please note that this will disable the global keyboard shortcuts.

Great thanks for such a quick reply.

Problem solved.

I opened it successfully from the system tray at the bottoms right of my desktop as you say.

The short cut Ctrl + Alt + T works (not Shift).

Sorry for the misinformation, you're right it's Alt by default (you can change it to any other shortcut, though) :-)
