Notifications on Windows?

We've started experimenting with Todoist at work, and we're sharing notifications between each other.

The problem we've found is new shared notifications are easy to miss. Are there any plans to add some sort of toast popup to notify that a new task has arrived?

Part of the problem is we're using out personal Todoist accounts, and the email addresses associated are not our work email mailboxes. Another possible way of making notifications more visible would be to allow multiple email notification addresses.

Hi Daniel,

There are no current plans to include a pop-up notification right now but we're always looking for ways to improve Todoist.

Just to let you know, you can actually change the email address after you've signed up and can modify this as needed.

We'll look into improving notifications in the future.

I'll second this request for a notification on the Windows app. Push notifications work fine on the mobile version but when you're working within the desktop environment, the notifications are sorely lacking.

A basic and effective option would be to have the system tray icon change colour or something, when there's an unread notification. Or, even better, the number of unread notifications could appear as a little number on the system tray icon. Something similar to what Slack does, for example.

And as an extra clever option, it should be aware of presence across devices, so that it doesn't pop up on your phone if it can tell that you're working within the desktop app at the time, for example. Again, similar to what Slack does for messaging.
