Suggestion for quick-add of tasks/sub-tasks

I love the ability add tasks/sub-tasks in the project view. However, this ability should be applied to any/all views. If you're adding a task in date view, it should adopt the date of the section you're adding it to. If you're adding a sub-task to any task, (this should be available in ALL views) it should inherent the tags, dates, project of the parent task (by default).

I hate having to switch to the project view to add sub-tasks.

Hi David,

We hope we can add this ability in the future but its fairly complicated. As adding a sub-task or even a task needs to know which project it is from, and a date based view for example does not show that exactly.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Brendon. I understand that caveat. However, you could at least default to whatever the attribute is of the current view, e.g., if it's date - add the item for that date. And, if you're adding a sub-task, you could inherit whatever values of the parent task as a default. But, just having the ability to use the hot-keys (ctrl-down, ctrl-right, etc.) in the other views would be a huge help.
