Please add an option to disable the bottom popup bar in Gmail

I love being able to click the [ Add ] button *above* Gmails, to add an email as a task. But what I don't need, and frankly what gets in the way constantly, is the bar at the bottom that pops up when clicked to reveal my to do list. I already have my Todoist app installed on my Mac. And an icon by the clock. I don't need a third way that takes up screen real estate.

Can you please add an *option* to disable this?

Hi Christian,

There is an X icon at the top right of that pop-up which will close it out. The only time it will re-appear is when you hit the Add Button which of course needs to happen. Once you add your task, hit the X and its gone.

Thanks but I find myself having to press [x] several times a day, every day, of every week, of every month... THAT is the problem I am reporting. Can you please consider my request urgently?

Hello Christian,

Thank you for your suggestion, we will consider it for future updates.

For now, please note that instead of the Gmail plugin, you can also use our Firefox or Chrome plugins which will only add a small icon to your browser's toolbar. If you want to add an email as a task, you can then click on it and use the "Quick Add" option.

These plugins will not add the "Add task" button into Gmail, though.

Best regards,

Any.Do also adds nice "Add To" buttons in gmail but without the need to have an annoying popup bar in the bottom. At least please make it an option for people to disable it in gmail once and for all. Thanks.
