Can we set recurring tasks every week?

I am the Growth Coordinator for a company and I'm interested in using Todoist to share tasks with employees and with our owner. I have used Todoist only for personal things before now. I would like to know if we can set recurring tasks each week on different days? How do we make it so when the new week starts, last weeks tasks aren't still listed? Does it offer the option for short webinar videos as well?

Thanks.

Hi Tammy,

You can create recurring tasks, such as "everyday" or "every tuesday" and they will occur each one of those days. Though, once these recurring tasks are completed, they move to the next occurrence. So if it is "everyday" it will show up each day on your Today view.

You could instead create a bunch of tasks for the week (maybe on sunday) that aren't recurring, but each day, so "june 18 at 2pm" for example. Create those for each task and day needed, then when they are completed, they will not recur the next week.

That being said, if something does not get completed, it will always show up on your list, unless it has no due date at all.

Brendon.

Thanks Brendon for the quick reply. However, I don't see where the option is to add a date or time. I want to use this as a "schedule" of sorts for my employees. So every week I'd like to make a Monday - Sunday task list. Could you please tell me how I'd go about this?

Thanks.

Also can we have it display dates as well as days?

Sorry for all of the quesitons, but we're looking into purchasing the premium... but if the task is a recurring task...and the employee strikes it out as completed say today...will it show up on next Monday's list as a uncompleted task again?

Tammy,

When you have Todoist open you should see your list of Projects on the left hand side. You can do this many ways, but at the very least, you need to have a project setup, click on it to open it up.

Once inside that project you should see a button "add task". When you do that you should see the Task name box (left), and a date box (right) and other options under the date box. This is where you enter all that information you want.

In this task list you can create each task you need, set it for Monday, or Tuesday for each task needed. This should be the simplest way to get started and to accomplish what you want.

As for dates, I am not sure what you mean, days are part of the date? If the due date is entered as "june 19" it will show that date.

As to your last question, yes it would show up again on the next occurrence.

Regards,
Brendon.
