Documented bug report on "start page" filter (duplication, filter update bug)
When I change the query in the "start page" filter, exit the app and open it again, the previous version of the filter appears as duplicate.
I see the results of the old query. I actually do not see the duplicate filter listed in the filters list until I exit the app and open it again. Btw this filter does not show up in web version.
I have tried uninstalling and deleting the files in data folder, the problem persists.
1) Change query in start page filter, through the app. (it works fine)
2) Exit app
3) Open again. It shows the results from the precious query (nothing, since the old query has bad syntax).
3) Check the filters list. Only one start page shows up, with the updated query.
4) Exit app
5) Open again. 2 start page filters show up in the list, one with the updated query and one with the old one
If I edit the buggy filter in any way and do the same process, 3ple, 4ple etc start page filters will be created.
It seems there is some conflict in your server that does not let the filter to get updated. When I edit the filter, it seems that it is created as a new filter on the server rather than update the old. Thus, when synced, the app finds that the old filter is missing (since it was edited) and creates it back again. But I am just guessing here.
It is VERY annoying since this is my default view, and needing three steps to access it (menu->filters->Start page) is practically unacceptable, especially for a paid subscription.
Also I would suggest to let users select their default filter for the app, as a feature.
