How can I stop logging into the wrong Gmail account?

I have logged out of all browsers and closed them all, yet when choosing to login using Google, Todoist app on Mac still uses the wrong Google account.

And there is no way to get back into an account created using google auth, as an email/password user instead.

If I can't work this out I will stop using this service. Hopeless, not being able to control which of your Google accounts the app chooses to login with. This is fundamentally broken functionality.

Please advise how to get my work back.

Hi Mike,

Since the Mac app is using the Safari engine, you need to be logged in using the correct Gmail account there. Can you please go to Safari, log-in to any Google service (eg. Gmail) and go back to Mac app and check if it's logging to the correct account?

The one browser I didn't check - got it. I managed to find a fix by opening an incognito Chrome window and logging in that way. This info should be a lot higher up on your help search tree methinks :-)

.The solution I found to sign in using the standard email sign in function using the details of your other account.
However, when you do this it will most likely tell you that user name and password is incorrect.

To fix this, log into todoist using a guest account on you Mac or via the web browser of your choosing.
Proceed to todoist settings > Account. Now edit the 'password' field and insert/save a password of your choosing.
(It would appear that this field is actually empty and your account has no password by default).

Now after setting your password - you may proceed to the todoist login screen on any devise logging in using the email log in function, your gmail address and newly created password! simples.......

Hope this helps!
