Sub-tasks moving at random (bug?)

Hi there,

We started using Todoist about a week ago and we're having the issue of sub-tasks moving (seemingly arbitrarily) to other tasks. We'll create sub-tasks (both by using the + sign or selecting "add task below") and then next time we go into Todoist, they'll randomly have moved under other tasks, sometimes one task above or below, sometimes in a completely different place up or down the list.

We've confirmed this is happening both on the Mac app and the Web version.

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix coming? It's kind of a deal-breaker for us as we use a lot of tasks and sub-tasks...

Hi Scott,

Does this only occur on your Mac version & Web? I actually have another report of a user saying it does not happen on the Mac version but Android.

If you completely sign out of the app, clear the cache for Safari (the Mac app uses this) and your browser, does it continue?

Hi Brendon,

I followed your instructions and unfortunately, a sub-task still moved, not long after I created it.

I don't know if it's happening in any version other than Mac or Web, as those are the only ones we're using.

I will pass this information along. Just to be clear, are you able to try another browser?

Hi Brendon,

We have another user who was using Chrome and he had a sub-task disappear. Although to be fair, he hasn't reported any moving around of sub-tasks as some of the rest of us have had.

Hi Kyle,

We've made some changes recently that might address this. Can you please clear the cache of the Mac app and see if that fixes the issue for us? Monitor it for a while and let us know if you're still experiencing the problem. Really Sorry for the inconvenience!

I am glad I am not the only one having this problem.

I am new to Todoist but this happened on my ipad app, iphone app and web version.
