I can not attach a file to the task.
Which Android version are you running, and are you updated to the latest app version as well?
Does this occur with any file/image you try to attach?
Good day! I have the latest version todoist. This file I was not able to attach. But later tacked another. What could be the reason?
It could be the long file name, but unlikely. Could the file be corrupt? If you got one working, does the one that didn't now work? It could have been a small glitch.

Hello - I also can't attach a file to a task's note.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 w/ Android v. 4.4.4 and latest ToDoist app.
I've spent 15 minutes or so trying several files and attaching via share options in Gallery, Aviary Photo Editor also within ToDoist directly. For example:
1. Tap Task.
2. Tap Note icon that looks like lines of writing
3. Tap paperclip icon
4. Tap 'File' or 'Take a photo'
5. Back at Notes page in app, when tile with file name is visible, tap bottom right arrow /paper airplane icon to add
Get "Uploading WatermainCard.jpg failed.
Retry also fails. The filename was after I'd renamed it, it failed before being renamed. It fails with different files.
Typical of photos on my phone it's 2.5MB and 4128x2322 resolution. Tried a smaller file - no joy.
Would love to be able to add photos to tasks, so would appreciate your help.
Can you please try reinstalling the Android app to see if that helps? Just to confirm, are you connected to a data/wifi connection while adding a file? Can you please check if that makes a difference in this case?

Hi Clyde - I did check I was connected and have tried with:
just wifi, just mobile data & with both of them.
I think you're right however, the problem is more general. I've since noticed auto sync and manual Refresh are currently not working. Again. I keep forgetting what a regular occurrence that is. But I've not noticed a reproducible pattern. Normally I sign out and in again to clear that. I haven't lost too many tasks that way.
However, this time, I've added quite a few things on my phone that haven't sync'd. I checked your Search help page but am not immediately seeing anything I could use as a filter to find what I've done recently, so I can re-add them in a browser (before reinstall). Can you suggest a filter that would do that?
We unfortunately don't have any filter that shows us the most recently added tasks. :-(
It might be something that we'll add in the future though.
I ended up going through all my projects - scrolling to the end of each, comparing the lists with the web app, and recreating everything. I lost the items I had both added and completed, while sync wasn't working. The unreliability, wasted time and lost tasks are pretty frustrating.
The only good news is that uninstall/reinstall cleared up the inability to sync and attach files. However, not being able to rely on the Android app is a far bigger problem.
I don't know how you track bug reports and requests, and can create separate topics for each if needed, but here they are:
1. Give a warning message when the app is unable to sync.
2. Add filter options such as Added Since, Modified Since. This would include deleted tasks. This would be useful in a number of situations.
3. Preserve tasks in local storage when app is in bad state so you can recover them after sign out/sign in or uninstall/reinstall.
Data loss is usually given high priority, so I hope these or other solutions to prevent and recover from it, will soon be implemented vs. maybe some day.

I've got a similar issue. I've tried to take a photo as an attachment to the task, and the taken photo appeared as an attachment. And it was there until the next refresh. After refresh the photo disappeared from attachments. The list of comments/attachments became empty again. I've checked it twice today.
Android HTC 5.0.2 (HTC sense 6.0)
Network: WiFi (both times)
Is the reinstall the only option? Which info/details do you need additionally?
Sorry to hear you are having this issue. Could you please tell us if after refresh comments are shown as empty (just headings) or don't they show up at all?
Also, if you attach a photo from the library, does it disappear too?
You can try to go to your phone settings > apps > Todoist > and try to clear cache there. Let us know if the issue still persists afterwards!
Hi, I'm trying to attach a PNG file to a task. I'm just using the web browser, and I keep getting an unknown error. I have refreshed and tried several different file types, and none of them are attaching. I am trying to attach to a task that is part of a shared project too, if that helps. Any suggestions on what to do?
