Indent hot keys not working in filtered views - annoying when using Today in particular

If you have Today selected (or any other filter) the indent hotkey doesn't work.

I mostly work from the Today filter as I have multiple tasks over multiple projects and I want to be able to see them all in one place. However, lots of things don't work particularly well when you are in a filter view, the most annoying of which is the ability to indent.

Hi Rob,

You can't indent tasks while in the Today, 7 day, or Filter view as these views are meant for displaying results. Most of the times, task that are viewed in here will be from different projects.

Please note though that if you really want to change the level of a task, you can easily click on the project name at the right and it will bring you to the exact task in that project. You can then change the levels of those tasks or add additional ones.

Clyde

Yes, but when there are 50+ tasks in a project, then finding the one that you want to indent is a pain.

Not being about to do things like indent and drag and drop from filtered views is making Todoist very frustrating to use and I'm starting to regret moving from my previous provider (I moved because their mobile notifications became unreliable, their UI was actually more flexible than yours, something I didn't discover until I had upgraded to Premium)

Hi Rob,

"Yes, but when there are 50+ tasks in a project, then finding the one that you want to indent is a pain."

This shouldn't be that hard as when you click it, it highlights that task for a few seconds. Have you tried it and still found it difficult to look for it?

I'm sorry hear that your experience has been frustrating. :-(

Clyde

OK, I got you now. I was clicking on the project, not the name on the right. That's better for me now.
