For something like a 30-day challenge, is there a way to schedule "Repeat every day until x" or "Repeat every day for 30 days"?
There are no duration type options at this time, though feel free to vote on this suggestion in our Votebox. (this one contains end dates as well) http://todoist.com/Vote/show/6505/
You can use SHIFT and then check it off on the last day, this will complete it for good.
I would love this same capability.
I clicked the link Brandon provided, but it led to a "Votebox closed" message.
Any way to bring this request back up to the fore?
thanks for listening,
Our vote box is currently closed. However, it is now possible to add start/end dates for recurring tasks. For example, "every day starting today until May 21" ;-)
Interesting... I was using a numerical value for the "until" date (e.g., "until 5/23/15") -- which was getting rejected. When I instead used "until May 23", it worked.
Suppose that's related to international date format conventions and the confusion that could result?
So my follow-up is: Since we are setting Date format and Time format in our Todoist Settings, shouldn't we be able to submit the "until" value as something like "5/23/15 @ 2pm"?
Also, noticed that the "until" value for that task is changed to "ending 2015-05-23" -- which is great! But I wish that was listed in the documentation for dates and times.
I'm looking on this page:
... and don't see any mention of "ending" to set that value.
Thanks for listening (and for solving my problem ;)
We are currently working on documentation which should include all supported formats for reference. Also, we will be gradually adding more formats in the future if needed.
Thanks for your suggestion regarding the end time. We will take into consideration!
