If a task has a subtask, and you mark both with the same label, then the subtask is duplicated in the "Label" view, as shown on the todoist.PNG screen
This is working as intended. When searching or clicking labels, it shows you the task (regardless of it's level) the same way. However, tasks with sub-task are expandable and will reveal the sub-tasks underneath it just like in your example. By default though, sub-tasks are generally hidden in this view and if they match the label that you're looking for, they will be displayed alongside the parent tasks.
This is confusing though..... Is there a way to fave the task expanded by default, and the sub-task at the right level?
I removed the label from the subtask, and it works ok on the web, BUT the subtasks are not diaplayed on Iphone (lablel view)
If you sign out of the iPhone app and back in again, does it correct itself?
No it does not help. It seans that there are no subtasks in the Label view
I will pass this information along to the devs. Please let me know, which iOS version are you using, and you have our app updated to the latest? (App Store should say if there is an update).
Thanks. The app is up to date. I am using iOS 7.1.1
Just to confirm, when you mentioned that it works in the web, did you mean that you were able to expand the task so it would show the sub-tasks? This is not currently possible in the iOS app (expanding a task with sub-tasks in it) but we're hoping to bring this functionality really soon. If I'm understanding you correctly, that would help out with this issue that we're running into right now.
If there's something that I misunderstood, please let me now.
Can you confirm Clyde's questions above?
answerng Clyde's questions:
"when you mentioned that it works in the web, did you mean that you were able to expand the task so it would show the sub-tasks?"
Yes - this is exactly what I mean - it is illustrated on the todoist.PNG screen
"If I'm understanding you correctly, that would help out with this issue that we're running into right now. "
You are right - this would solve the issue.
I can't give you an exact date right now but we're hoping to bring this really soon. ;-)
