Difference between "show completed tasks" in task view and "show all completed tasks" via Karma

S

Hello!

I noticed a difference between the two ways to see completed tasks - getting the "show completed tasks" list via the project view pulls up a list that doesn't contain all the tasks I did.
Getting the list via Karma - "Show all completed tasks" - filter for this project - shows more tasks.
I get the impression that the tasks missing are repeating tasks, though some repeating tasks are shown in both lists.

Could you look into this?

Best wishes
Silvia

Hello Silvia,

As I just mentioned in another thread (before seeing this) - recurring tasks are always active and stay on the list, only change their date. Therefore, they're not physically moved to the history that you see inside a project.

The list you see through Karma is different - it doesn't physically "store" tasks, it works like a log file of all your actions and this log file does include each completion event of recurring tasks.

Best regards,
David

Hello David!
I understand. I had hoped the iOS app would draw on the karma list, but obviously it's not that way.
As I rely heavily on repeating tasks and need to see when I completed them, the new iOS feature is just not usable for me.
I'm feeling disappointed now.
And I really wish that all this features were explained somewhere, like the FAQ that you mentioned.
Best wishes
Silvia

Silvia,

We're sorry that you find it useless :-( This is how the completed task access always worked on the web and it's clearly different from the productivity log accessible through the Karma option. We'll look into adding this in the future too.

Best regards,
David

Hello David!
I'll keep my hopes up for a future version to bring that.
How is the FAQ coming along - it would be really helpful to answer those questions in a file. You'd be less busy, too ;-)
Best wishes

Silvia,

We're working on it and we also hope it'll clarify a few things :-)
