Hi Douglas,

Here are the steps you can follow:

1.) You can download the installer from here http://todoist.com/mac.
2.) Unzip the file by double clicking on it
3.) Drag the Todoist file to your application folder
4.) At this point you should be able to launch it and sign in

Thanks, I was able to successfully reinstall Todoist to my macbook pro - I can understand that the internet goes down from time to time with many programs - I can live with that and work around that if I can work off line - is there a way to configure the settings in Todoist to open the program and work offline if there is no internet connection or if the internet connection is bad? This was the problem for me yesterday.

Hello Douglas,

To get offline access, please use Todoist directly through Chrome going to this URL: https://todoist.com/app Unlike our Mac app, which is based on Safari, Chrome can completely cache the entire site and your data and let you access the web-app while you're offline.

We're also considering porting the Mac app away from Safari to a Chrome engine which will then make it, too, offline accessible.

Best regards,

Thanks David, I installed google chrome and bookmarked todoist and it works fine. Now I have offline access and that will be very useful for me since I travel a lot including international air travel.
