Syncing on MacOS app is broken

My Todoist app on MacOS will sit and spin like it's trying to sync, but then eventually come up with an error. Starting to get frustrated enough with this (and the poor integration with MacOS - it's no better than a browser tab, and in some ways, worse)... that I'm considering moving to a different service. I'd usually recommend this tool to my friends, etc... but it's starting to feel really cheap and "beta" for something I spent money on. :-(

Happening to me too - very frustrating. Restarted the app, restarted my computer, still no good. Problems like this make me want to shift to another tool as well.

Same here. Irritating as hell. And it appears the various tasks I entered yesterday on my iPhone are all gone...so much for the time spent on those. I just signed up for Todoist. It looks like this sort of thing is a regular occurrence. I spent over an hour entering all of my projects into it and I am beginning to thing that I have wasted my time in addition to my $$$. Please FIX.

Same problem here, and I agree with Matthew. After all this time, fullscreen app capability is still broken for me, and I have little issues like this all the time. Some stability would be nice for a type of app that needs to be reliable (-1)

This is a BIG problem and I am surprised they have not fixed it yet almost 24 hrs later. All tasks stuck in one device not syncing to other devices or web. I guess you cannot rely on this app any more and we need to switch and get our money back. Too bad...it was a good start but this is unacceptable

Same here. iOS is not syncing. I even deleted and re-downloaded the app, logged out and in, and still no sync. Mine is syncing from Mac to the web, though.

Very sorry for the trouble, this is all caused by some server issues which we are working very hard to resolve.

I am also having problems with this. Tasks get lost when I enter them on the MacOS a[[ while offline. It is especially common when I connect to networks requiring additional log-in credentials: hotel, airport, and airplane networks. In other words, almost 100% of the time I'm traveling. Loosing tasks in sync is not only a waste of time, but potentially dangerous to my business if I can't remember what tasks didn't sync.

Please fix this ASAP.

A large update is coming soon, hopefully within a week, which should resolve many issues such as this.

hi Brendon,

This is very good news. I look forward to it. Thanks for keeping us update on its progress and probably timeframe!

Yes, is about time. Yesterday I reviewed all my tasks (12 projects, about 75 tasks if not more, bunch of filters, etc.) in my iPad. My inbox was empty, everything was properly tagged and dated. When I got to the office this morning NONE of those changes were synced, so I had to do it all over again. And always the insecurity (also for my organization) of what is missing here. If this does not get fixed, regretfully I am going back to Omnifocus. Just cannot afford to loose work like this no matter how much I like Todoist.

PS. I am the Executive Director of a nonprofit, so I am using Todoist to manage lots of critical info for our business. Just to illustrate the point.

And by the way, with Omnifocus 2 now being supported by Postbox, the case is even more compelling. I really hope Todoist gets fixed.

We have just released a new version of the Mac app that fixes different issues, and one of the fixed issue is related with the offline mode. Now it should work perfectly even if you restart your computer. I have to say that if you logout from the Mac app while you're offline and you haven't synced you changes, all your changes will be lost.

This new version (5.x) is only available for Mac OS X 10.9+. You can download it from our Mac app website (https://todoist.com/mac) or on the Todoist app menu, clicking on "Check for Updates...". Soon it will be available to download from the Mac App Store.
