Lost tasks and lists

I sure do love my Todoist, but have had to resign myself to the fact that completed tasks sometimes disappear completely and cannot be searched for, and that lists disappear from within tasks from time to time (sometimes if I remake the list, at a later time three or four versions will suddenly appear!). This is particularly disappointing as the rest of the program works so well.

Hi Reid,

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. How are you searching your completed tasks? The available options are:

- Showing all completed tasks in a project
- Using the "View All Completed" report that can be filtered by project, date, and label
- Searching for the a keyword for that particular tasks

Have you tried using those approaches and still it didn't work?

Another thing to note is that completed tasks can be permanently deleted off your history by selecting the "Deleted completed tasks" option in the "Task actions".

I have used all of the suggestions you raise. But the first two are not
practical--I would have to search by hand through every item. What I should
be able to do is use the keyword search. Sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't.

Also, you didn't address the fact that lists within tasks disappear.

I am not looking for a technical solution, because I don't think there is
one. I am hoping the programmers can look into why this happens and fix it.

Hello Reid,

I'll let our developers know about this though the key to fixing an issue is having more info or to reproduce reliably.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,
