Todoist Windows Shutdown

JS

On both my windows 7 laptop and windows 8 desktop, I can't get Todoist to run after closing it. Before it will run again, I have to go to task manager and kill three todoist zombies. Please help, I don't want to be responsible for the Zombie Apocalypse, this could be how it starts. :-)

Hi Jim,

Hmm ... we don't want that either. ;-) Please note though that closing the Todoist Windows app (pressing the red "x" button) does not close it but only minimizes it in the System Tray. In there, look for the Todoist icon to relaunch it. You can also change this behaviour under Configuration so that the next time you "close" the app, it's actually closed and not running in the background.

Almost all the time, this is the problem. So if you're still experiencing problem, let me know. :-)

Best Regards,

Clyde

I also thought this was a problem and it frustrated me to no end. If Todoist has been minimized to the task bar and we click on the application icon, it should reopen to the foreground!! Some of us don't generally open programs from the task bar, especially when we have lots of things in our task bar so not all of them show up at any given time without expanding it.

Clyde,

Thank you , you are correct, not zombies after all. I do agree with Don as well, this was quite frustrating and inconsistent with the operation of most other Windows applications.

Great product!
