Hello. I have a problem: android app is loading forever after login (with google account). See attached screenshot.
Device: Coolpad F1
OS: Android 4.2.2
BTW, internet connection is working fine, I'm able to browse sites, use other internet services, etc. And I have only one project with one task (I'm new user), so no heavy loading reqiured, I suppose.
Please try re-installing the Todoist Android app. Also, is your phone rooted? Any task killer apps?
Let me now how it goes.
Well, now I can't even log in with my gogle account :-) Didn't try regular account though, as I've signed up using my google account. Should I?
Ah, yeah, my phone is rooted, but no task killer apps and nothing like that.
Please try issuing a new API token, re-install the app, and then log back in using your Google account.
To issue a new API token, follow these steps (refer to the attached image):
1.) Go to the Todoist Setting (click on the gear icon in the upper right corner)
2.) Click on the ACCOUNTS tab
3.) Click on the "Issue a new API token" link
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks, Clyde. Tried this, but it didn't help =(
To be 100% sure about that, un-install the Android app, reboot it. Then go to the account settings on the web version, under Devices (under Reminders) remove any that are listed there. Then issue the new API. Then install the app again.
Though being rooted could be causing issues, and we aren't really able to troubleshoot these issues that involve rooted phones.
Hi, Brendon. I don't have the Devices section in Reminders (screenshot attached).
Yes sorry about that, didn't see you were on a free account. Then you would have already done what was needed.
This is odd, and we aren't able to reproduce this issue. Was this always the case, since first installing or did it start happening recently?
Tried uninstall on android → reboot android → issue new API token on web → install on android. Now it lets me in, but loads forever after login (see initial message of the thread).
This happens since Todoist was first installed.
Not sure if regular login (not Google) could work, maybe I'll test that tomorrow (it's 3AM here).
Thanks anyway :)
