Make iOS badges show only when task/reminder is due?

U

Love Todoist and just went premium, I'm wondering if there's a way to hide the task number badge on your list until they are due, or until the reminder pops up.

For example if you add stuff that you know you can't get to until you get home and you set a reminder for 9pm, I'd like the badges not to include that task until 9pm. So if I'm done with all my tasks for the day except that one, there should be no badge showing anything.

I think the best thing about GTD is for things not to be on your mind until it's time you can do something about them. There's nothing more frustrating than looking at your phone and seeing a "1" badge icon, and opening it up thinking there's something to be done when there isn't. Or at least not until many hours later.

Could be that iOS just won't allow for this to happen, in which case, workarounds welcome!

Hi,

There is no way to do this at this time, it will indeed show what ever is due and overdue. We will look into this in the future. Feel free to add this to our Votebox. http://todoist.com/Vote/

Thanks for the reply, Brendon. Hopefully it can be incorporated under the "start date" vote.

Has this ever been introduced? It's annoying to show a count of tasks that are not even due. Always feels like I'm behind.
