Odd glitch where seemingly random tasks are popping up in the Today list

The today list spontaneously includes about five tasks that are not assigned a deadline, as well as tasks due tomorrow, monday and another few seemingly random dates. This goes away when I log out and log back in, but then happened again. Has never happened before, and may go away, but thought I'd check as it produces some concern about stability. Any suggestions?

It seems to have been related to a filter I had just added, and specifically to the use of overdue in the filter. The problem consistently happened after viewing the tasks that filter called up, and seems to have gone away once I modified the filter not to have overdue in it. Would still like to know if that's something I can anticipate having again, and if I can include overdue in a filter.

in case it helps this is using the chrome browser on a PC running Windows 7 Enterprise.

Hi Ernesto,

Can you give me the exact syntax used for that filter? It could be caused by how exactly you created it, but could be something else.

Also, does it occur in any other browser?

Thanks for your response, and apologies for the delay in mine.

exact syntax was: overdue | p1 | 3 days & !@personal

I haven't tried on other browsers.

Thanks again.

Hello Ernesto,

If you're combining OR and AND operators, please use parenthesis to clarify how do you want to connect so please either use:

(overdue | p1 | 3 days) & !@persona

overdue | p1 | (3 days & !@persona)

if you want to see tasks overdue, p1, 3 days and all of them should not be labeled persona or if you want to see all overdue tasks, all tasks with priority 1 and tasks that are due in 3 days, but aren't labeled persona.

Let us know if the issue persists with one of the above.

Best regards,

Many thanks for clarifying. I did just use the parenthesis in the syntax and the problem persists. I used (overdue | p1 | 3 days) & !@personal.

I am okay with not being able to see overdue items in this filter, since that seems to make it work fine, but please do advise if there's any way to add that.

I've been able to reproduce this issue now - looking at this filter and then back on the today list does indeed show too many tasks.

I've passed it to the developers and we'll look into it.

Best regards,
