Email tasks to Todoist inbox

If I manually enter the address to my Todoist inbox in Gmail, I can send a task to Todoist; however, I can’t save the address as a Gmail contact nor allow it to populate the address field from it’s memory without getting an error indicating I have to format email addresses correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hello BJ,

Please tell me, are you typing the address in this exact format: project.108449633.029179@todoist.net (with the appropriate numbers, of course) and nothing else? If it auto-completes, does it also contain just the email address and no <> signs or the name of the project?

Best regards,

I misinterpreted the instruction and had the angle brackets included. I
thought that would resolve the problem but when I tried the correct address
I got the following error from todoist. I’m not sure where to add the
address below in my account.

An email was sent from "BJ Flora <bjflora@gmail.com>".

Todoist could not process this due to a model error.

The cause is unknown, but could be related to a deleted item.

If you wish to send emails from this address add it to your Todoist account:

Within each project, at the top right, wrench icon, Email Tasks To This project, adding the email address you send from is at the bottom of that pop-up.

It’s working now. I mis-copied the address. Thanks.
