Synchronization does not work

All synchronized many times. Thought I was doing something wrong. But.
On all platforms, different tasks. What happens with synchronization? I am very frustrated because she put on Your application hopes.

I don't have an answer to you, but I'll like to add, that I have had problems with syncing all the way. Chrome plugins, thunderbird and web interface are working fine. And also android client in my tablet (4.3) is syncronising all well.

But the second android client on my phone (Xperia Z1, 4.4) does sync all the changes well till I first time actually make some changes using phone (add a new task, edit or complete). After that syncing will be out of date in phone. I can fix this by clearing all application data, but it'll be broken when I next time do changes.

I also sync constant problem. Tried to not pay attention, but does not work. Have to return to doit.im. Very sorry.

The last time I write to similar topic they told me that they can't reproduce the problem. But problem still exists even if they can't reproduce it. Now it seems to me that I know how to reproduce synch problems.
1. Today you create a task. Synchronize.
2. Then you change, for exemple, due date. Do not synchronize.
3. Tomorrow you synchronize. The task with changed due date has wrong due date.

I use app on Adroid 4.3. When I do not synchronize android app several days, I have big problems with tasks when I synchronize it one day.

When will be fixed problems with synchronization between Android, Windows client and Web version todoist? Different everywhere data. :-(

The current versions of our app should no longer have this issue. Please delete your Todoist apps on all platforms, reinstall them and let us know if the issue still persists.

I have the same problem as well with the latest version of Todoist. The android app doesn't sync automatically. Need to close the app or press Refresh for sync to work. Running Version 4.0 (Android 4.2.2)

I again does not sync. I installed on windows, androide and chrome new clients. Everything worked fine for a week. Now again on different platforms, different data. Do You plan to solve the problem? Or You don't don't care? :-/

The same issue here.
Windows desktop version is showing me task with old date (i changed it on web version few days ago). I tried several times reload and sync, re-installed desktop client but with no positive results. Finally I changed priority of this task (just to check if this update will give synchronization) and it worked. Unfortunately after next sync the task is back with old date.

About push syncing... I thought that this functionality is not implemented because it is not working for me on any platform except web.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we're looking into these sync issues now.

Lukasz, if this happens again, please try to right-click on the TD icon in the system tray and use the "Logout" option from there, log back in and see if it helps.

I just had issue with push sync or actually lack of it.
Desktop version showed me no task for today. At the same time I saw task in web version. When I clicked sync icon in desktop version every tasks were synchronized but with push sync I thought I don't manually synchronize my clients.
Is this how it should work? I'm not sure how often I have to sync my clients to trust that all showing me the same. This is not a big issue if I'm online, but in offline mode I want to be sure that my task are synchronized.

If this could help:
- my laptop is usually hibernated on the end of the day
- I recently changed my time zone in Todoist options, but time in my laptop is not changed (6 hours different).

We have made some changes in the backend that would hopefully address the sync issues that some users have been experiencing. Please observe your tasks and check if you're still getting discrepancies.

problem still occurs.
On first attached file you can see what I get just after log in to the system:
Date and karma are not updated, task planed for today is visible only on web version of Todoist.

Screen on second attachment is showing what I get after manual syncing all clients:
date and karma are update, but task is still visible only on web.

In both cases chrome plugin and desktop are showing "missing" task as planed for tomorrow. Reload, sync, logout, quit and open again are not helping. The task is still plan for tomorrow on desktop and for today on web.

it seams like two issues:
1. push sync is not really works and clients have to be synchronized manually
2. the same tasks have different dates which can be related with change of my time zone but if I update it in preferences the problem shouldn't occur.

I have been complaining about similar sync issues for months now. I am always told to clear cache/delete app/logout and then it's forgotten since Todoist team cannot reproduce the issue.

Hopefully the syncing issues get more attention now that more users are reporting it.

My Gmail todoist is always out of sync.

Yes we are looking into these issues, and it has become more serious, at least in terms of users, but we were always looking into it. We have fixed some things, but it would appear nothing has changed overall.

We hope to find the cause soon.

In my previous mail, I complained about Android clients being out of sync. They work well no, but there is a different sync problem now. Chrome plugin, web client and Thunderbird client are out of sync now. It seems to be problem with clearing dates. If I have an item with date and I don't complite it, but clear date and change priority, current client clears date well. But after awhile, the once cleared date pops up back in other client like other chrome plugin in other computer. It's quite annoying when you just can't trust the software and you must remember that you have once done your job.

Actually chrome client shows right number of tasks first, but after I open it, it adds these 'ghost task' to counter also. I hope this helps your debugging.

I have the same Problem. That is very disappointing... Therefore i am not going to buy the premium version!!!! It does not make sense for me if sync. does not work!

I am having the same problem--not sycing between my iPhone and Outlook. I tried logging out on my iPhone but now it won't allow me to log back in! I just get an "error" message. Please help!

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, we've had an outage recently and it might have caused multiple issues incl. sync problems and downtime. We're still working on a few fixes and all should work fine very soon.

Not syncing. I'm using the Chrome tab for Todoist and as long as I have it running, my info will remain in the Chrome cache.
But it's very very unpleasant that this is happening.
The syncing indicator is just spinning and it's not working.

All back to normal again here (Bonn, Germany) as well.

Syncing the offline changes made on the two devices created some duplicate tasks, but didn't delete anything (which is obviously the lesser of two evils).
