Add attachment from Gmail extension doesn't work

I can not attach files from the Gmail extension (i.e. embedded in Gmail) but it works fine when the app is in a separate browser tab by using this URL: https://gmail.todoist.com/app

In the chrome console, I can see this error when I'm uploading the file:

Uncaught SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin "https://gmail.todoist.com" from accessing a frame with origin "https://mail.google.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.

Hi Mathieu,

Unfortunately, this issue is due to a browser limitation regarding uploading files through extensions which means we would not be able to get around it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Unless you find a workaround, maybe you should hide this feature when the
app is embedded within Gmail.

I'm unable to upload the Gmail app to be able to connect my Gmails w/ Todoist tasks.

I'm receiving this error message:

Todoist for Gmail (extension ID "clgenfnodoocmhnlnpknojdbjjnmecff") is blocked by the administrator.

My corporate IT team was unable to add the extension. Is there another way to upload the app?

Hi Katie,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. If it's blocked by your company, unfortunately, we can't do anything on our end :-( You can ask yourIT department to try to add [.]todoist.com and [.]cloudfront.net as exceptions.
