Sharing sub-folders

When we shared subfolders, the hierarchy level didn't transfer.

Hi Debanshi,

Shared projects don't necessarily need to follow the original hierarchy. The project is shared but each user can organize it however they like.

That not make sense. If I have a Project Folder and I want to share with someone, I intend to share the sub-folders with this hierarchy too. In all my cases, I dont have tasks inside project folder, but only in sub-project folders. In the other hand, if I want to share only the sub-project folder, I select just this one. Please, this feature is very important for a good control of project.

Hello David,

Unfortunately, this hasn't been implemented yet, but we'll add such option in the future.

Do you have a provisional dates for this implementation?
Because we need it quickly, and we don't know if we will use your system if they havn't this function.

best regards.

Unfortunately, we don't have any estimates for this implementation at this point.

missing hierarchy transfer is one of the main reasons for us not to use todoist.

I also just discovered this problem. I know they can organize it however they want, but If i were to hire a new employee, I want to allow them access to the whole department of todoist stuff, organized as it is, then let them organize it how they want, if they want. Right now they just get a bunch of folders and its not organized at all.

To bad your vote box is now closed. I think that is a good way to get feedback from your paying customers, and superior to getting idea's individually.

Anyway +1 for a feature that when sharing a folder all sub-folders will share, in addition to keeping the hierarchy in place. In most cases this is really the only way that makes sense, however in case some people do not want this, it could be an option when sharing as well. 1. Share folder, 2 Share folder + Sub-folders/Hierarchy.
