Time Zones & Traveling

I travel a lot and am having trouble understanding how to set reminders while traveling.
My Todoist Time Zone & Computer are set to GMT-0600 America/Denver. These never change even when traveling abroad.

I understand Todoist auto detects a user’s location and uses that time zone. I also understand Todoist strongly suggest that we accept the popup "Update Time Zone".

While in Europe & Asia and I set future reminders they are always screwed up.

What is the correct way to set reminders so that they occur in my set time zone for Todoist and computer (GMT-0600 America/Denver)?

Do I need to do mental gymnastics and calculate the time zone differences between home and my location and then create the reminder?

Thank you

Hi Scott,

If you create a task in your timezone, and then change timezones (travel) it will go off at the correct time, but in relation to the new timezone.

In terms of setting them in another timezone and coming back to GMT-0600, I believe you need to set it normally. If you want it to show up at 5PM your time, then set it to 5PM in the timezone you are in. So do nothing different, "Today at 5pm" for example.

Thanks Brendon for the quick response - I am heading to Asia and Europe next week, so will give your suggestion a try. Many thanks for a great product and outstanding support! :-)
