Can you check email links in Firefox extension?


It doesn't look like the email links in the Firefox extension are working properly. While it looks like I'm able to add an email as a task, the link doesn't always open the relevant email when I go back to that task.

Sometimes, I need to log out and log back in for the link to work. At other times, that trick doesn't even work. In any case, it's a bit annoying and inefficient to need to do that.

As far as I can tell, the links work if I try to access them from your normal website, even while using Firefox.

Hi Paul,

Are you currently logged in using multiple Google accounts in the browser? Is your Todoist account the first (the Google account you use to log-in using Todoist) option among the different account that you are using?

Hi Clyde,

I usually do have two different accounts open and figured the problem might have something to do with that. However, this problem has also been happening when I have only the relevant account open.

Also, as a reminder.. this only seems to be happening when I use the Firefox extension. It doesn't happen when I'm in your actual website, regardless of how many Google accounts I have running.

Hi Paul,

Is the problem consistent that we can replicate it every time? If so, I may be able to bring this up to our developers.

The way the application determines from which email address the email is coming from is through its URL. See example below:


Notice the number after "/u/". That determines where the email originated from. So it would not matter if the other account is not open.
