Not Search Public Folders in Outlook

I use the Outlook add-in. I create a task from an email, and in the add-in I can see the task with a link to the email. When I click the link, Todoist searches to find the email and display it. I have noticed that Todoist searches everything in my mailbox including "public folders". The public folders is super huge, and I have no control over it. Can I set up Todoist to only look at *my* folders?

Hi Christine,

Unfortunately at this time there is no way to customize what it searches. Though we hope we can improve this process in the future.

I have the same concern as Christine... I came back to Todoist again this weekend after several months of using Wunderlist. The completely new re-write of the Outlook plug-in was enough to entice me back to test it out. However, here has been my experience running through a couple quick examples of my typical workflow:

1. Receive email
2. Add email / task to Todoist.
3. Archive email to a PST file to get it out of my Inbox (very common for "Inbox Zero").
4. Later, click on the task in Todoist -- assuming this will open the email so I can refer to it and complete the task.
5. Wait......wait......wait......wait......wait......wait......Finally give up and click cancel after about 10 minutes of watching Todoist searching through hundreds of Public folders.

Did anyone test this before releasing it? It's even more unusable for me than the last version of the Outlook plug-in. This is honestly the only thing, at this point, keeping me from switching to Todoist permanently and becoming a premium member.

In all other areas, Todoist is hands-down the best todo list manager out there.

When I start Outlook it starts searching immediately for I don't know what. And still in all public folders.

I'd like to add my voice to this issue. Todoist is a great service. This is one of the few really annoying issues I experience. I can think of a few nice-to-have features but this falls into the essential category, really almost a bug, certainly a usability issue.
