Basic sync issues


I have 19 tasks listed under 'Today' (10 April) on my Windows application. On my Android phone running 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich I have the same 19 tasks but listed under 'Tomorrow' (11 April). If I add a test task to my phone and set it for 'Today' 10 April it gets put into 'Tomorrow' on the phone but appears in 'Today' on my Windows application.

This problem has occurred before. I think I may have solved it then by playing with the time zones and making sure they were set as the same on both platforms.

As I have not been using the phone app much recently, I am not sure when this problem began. Could it be related to the clocks going forwards here in the UK on 30 March?

What I have tried so far:
- trying to 'Refresh' on the phone
- logging out & back in on both platforms
- setting time on both platforms to another time (same on both)
- re-installing app on phone

Please advise what I should do next next - thanks.

Hello Alex,

This indeed sounds like a typical time-zone related issue. Please make sure that not only your devices are set to the same and correct time zone, but also Todoist itself - both on the web and within the Android app's settings.

Also, please try to add a task with a due time such as "today at 18:00" and let me know if also its time changes when you save it.

Hello David,

Thanks for your advice. I think I have resolved the issue. There may have been a conflict between the Android phone time and the Android App time. I had to disable the automatic time zone update provide by my network and manually set it. So the cause of the problem was probably phone-related. I guess I'll just have to go through your checking process again when the clocks go back on 26 Oct!
