Sorting Tasks by Name - S Before A?

When sorting tasks...Bolded Tasks have priority over and Not-Bolded Tasks?

I have !!bolded!! the name (first word or phrase) of each new group of tasks.

Here is example:

!!Soiled!! linen in closet
Asleep in bed

Process (Chrome)
select task action
select sort by name

Hello Gary,

That's correct. Our system sorts by the "raw" task name so due to the exclamation mark being at the beginning of the name, it goes above any letter.

We'll look into improving this and parsing it out in such cases.

... so how do you have today's task show up by Project (all of the Accounting) go together?

Hello Virginia,

Please clarify - are you referring to sorting by alphabet being included in the today view? That's not possible. I'm sorry, but I'm unsure what you mean exactly in this context :-( Today and 7 days are views in which sorting is not available aside from manual drag & drop of tasks with no due time within their priority group.

Thanks for asking -

Unless I put a specific time down for each task it prioritizes "at will"
the tasks to be done on a given day. I was hoping that it would sort by
the project assignments so if my projects / and tasks within are:

Call Publishers
Reconcile Bank Statement
Send Payroll

Customer Service
Awaiting Payments
Check email
Do returns

Thanks for clarifying. The sort criteria, from the most important to least important are:
- Date
- Time
- Priority
- Day order
- Project group

Now, as you see "day order" is above project group and this parameter is the one you can influence whenever you drag & drop a task, but once you drop a task from 1 project group somewhere above or below it, this group will then no longer "stick" together as your custom "day order" will be prioritized.

Best regards,
