Tasks don't show under label

When looking at ToDoist with "Labels" open on the left, I see a gray number following each label name, indicating the number of tasks assigned that label. I have nine total labels; for eight of them, clicking on the label in the left column opens the view of all tasks with that label in the main window on the right. However, one of my labels is followed by the number "3," although when I click on it, I get a notice in the main window that reads, "No tasks matches [sic] your query." Note: I changed the nomenclature of this label earlier. How can I retrieve the tasks assigned to that label? Does ToDoist not automatically re-label the affected tasks when the user changes the name of the label? If not, then it would be helpful to advise the user of that shortfall before they finalize changing the label name. :-\

Hello Brint,

Renaming a label through the label list, will actually change the name in each task and should still work. Please tell me, did you share any of your projects with someone? And if so, did you assign any tasks with this label to other people?

If you did, then this is the correct behavior as, by default, Todoist will always show you tasks that you're responsible for. You can use this query:

:all: & @label

to search for all tasks with this label incl. the ones assigned to other people.

If you haven't assigned anything to anyone, please post the name of the label here to make sure that no special characters are causing this. For example, using parentheses within a label name could cause some issues.

Thanks -- I was using an ampersand, so I removed it, and that solved the problem. :-) (+1)
