I can set "every weekday" and "every 1st", but can't "every first work day of the month"
This is not supported. It may be in the future, but it can get complicated, as that term can mean different things to different people.
1) add script "ev 1st weekday month"
2) Make in preference option with checkbox for workdays and holidays
Thanks, yes we will consider adding this in future updates. Feel free to add this to our Votebox. http://todoist.com/Vote/
I am seeking to do the exact same thing for a task.
As mentioned by Brendon, we don't have such an option right now but we'll look into adding it in the future.
+1 for scheduling a task for every first weekday of every month (as voting isn't an option I'm just posting my +1 here)
Would be great
+1 will check votebox, too
Just kidding apparently that's not a thing anymore :D
I really need this.
I wonder why voting is no longer an option. I think it's much better than this river of "+1"... Unless Todoists no longer care and we're wasting time here.
Sorry about that! We read every message and keep in mind all your suggestions and "votes". The reason we don't answer sometimes is that we simply don't have any news on a certain request or feature update from our developers. As soon as we have any estimates or updates, we will share with you right away!
Funny that "ev last weekday month" is working, but not "ev first weekday month".
Todoist, come on. We can set tasks to recur "every last weekday" but not "every first weekday"? This feature is way overdue and seems like a basic part of a task scheduling system. We're not the only organization that has tasks that are triggered by the beginning of a new month, as witnessed by the litany of "+1" comments above . What's the ETA for deploying this essential feature?
We are developing a brand new date parser now. It will include a lot more options soon! :-)
