Monthly View

Is it possible to view tasks in a monthly calendar?
I'd like to have the ability to view a month calendar with the number of tasks on each day. Then if I click on a day, see the specific tasks with the full editing ability.

I want to have the capability to manage my workflow on a larger scale than the next 7 days...

Thanks for your consideration or any help/instruction if this is already available!

Hi Marie,

There are no calender views at this time, but we may add this in the future. Feel free to vote on this suggestion in our votebox. http://todoist.com/Vote/

Brendon.

I love many of the features that todoist offers, but I am quite disappointed with many commonsense flexibilities that this program lacks.

1) I don't understand why a completed-tasks list is difficult to view, when a major purpose of a to-do list is not only to see upcoming tasks, but to view completed tasks as well to conduct a review of a day's work. And it's missing entirely from the iOS.

2) People schedule tasks beyond a week, including reminder features that extend past 7 days. I just scheduled a reminder for every two weeks, but I couldn't view to confirm that the tasks are there.

3) Suggestions: Before todoist advertises its integration with Gmail, it should note clearly the limitations on syncing with its tasks. It's quite misleading and frustrating.

At the risk of adding the general complaints about the hefty fee of this product, I cannot help but complain that this is quite pricey for a product that praises its advancement yet skips the basics. Offering the basics of other programs IN ADDITION to the advanced features. Right now, it offers advancement without basics.

Hi Jose,

1. Please make sure to update to the latest version, as the iOS does indeed now have completed tasks list. You can access this within each project.

2. You can search/filter for any set amount of days "10 days" "30 days" etc.

3. I am not sure what you are referring too as limitations? Are you having trouble with syncing? Please try to create a new thread here detailing your trouble. Can you please further explain this.

Regards,
Brendon.

I'd love to see this feature.

I find frustrating not being able to see how many tasks I have for the day after, and the day after...I need to know what time I have to set my alarm !

I would love to see this also. Seeing tasks for the next 7 days is great, seeing tasks for the entire month would be better. I for one need to look past just this week's tasks.

sam.stauffer: It's really simple to build a filter to see the next 30 days (or whatever such time you like, honestly).
Go to filters
click Add Filter
type "overdue, 30 days" in the query (without the quotes)
Name the filter (mine is boringly named "Next 30 days")

Now whenever you want to see what's scheduled for the next 30 days plus what's overdue, click on the filter. If you don't want the overdue part, just leave it out of your query.

It's not as good as having a calendar view, but it matches the 7 days view.

This would be really useful. Been using the 30 days filter bit its not the same.

Super surprised not to have broader calendar views available. Just started using this today (free version) to test. Love the Outlook compatibility but just changed my mind about purchasing Premium when I can't "zoom out" on the calendar. Very odd not to have that capability built in. A 30-day filter that produces a long list (rather than a calendar view) is just not very handy.

A simple link to next 30 days would be nice. I agree with others.

Just change 7 days button for 30 days.
I'm always typing 30 days in the search field because there is no calendar view.

I just don't understand this limit. I'm pretty sure you don't have any good explanation to do so, except maybe "we've always done it this way so we'll stick to this !" Ahah !

That's the problem with these fundamentally web-based solutions. They're great for collaboration, but sorely feature-lacking as far as native todo programs such as OmniFocus.
