Display bug/issue in iphone app ver 8.1 (11758)

If open the a project which has items that have dates-due, the date will sort of hide the item below it. This started with this latest update, I believe. Doesn't do it on the ipad app or desktop (windoze). Its hard to describe, but I have these date banners that just partially hide items.

**UPDATE** ...so I remembered something I read about various bugs/issues on this forum...so I *deleted* the app on the iPhone, reinstalled, logged back in, and its all fixed.

What???!!! Is this normal? I've never seen this sort of thing in other apps...anyway, hopefully that will help someone else.

Seems a bit like killing a housefly with a sledgehammer, eh?

Hi Stephen,

Things like this can happen and it can be related to cache, so logging out clears that and makes it work proper again. It's not normal that you should need to do it all the time though. Please let us know if it happens again.

Yeah, I tried logging out...even reset the iphone, same thing. Also tried closing the app by the vertical swipe thing in IOS7. All to no avail...only thing that worked was to delete the app, and reinstall it. Odd.

Removing and re-installing is a sure way to remove all cache and content from the app, so that is why it can sometimes work as well. Logging out is like clearing the cache for Chrome, but uninstalling it is like clearing the cache and offline data for Chrome. It can make a bigger difference if something more major is going on.

Nonetheless, if it does occur again, there is an update coming soon (8.1.1) so let us know if it continues after that.
