iPhone AND iPad App crash...todoist can't take no for an answer

iphone 5, ios 7.06, OR ipad, same OS. The app, on either platform, will crash if you tell it "no" to accessing your address book, and then attempt to select project members. Try it: pick ANY project, click the icon to add project members, answer "no" to the question about accessing your contacts, then select "Close" ==CRASH.

OR, use Settings->Privacy->Contacts->Todoist, select "off". Then open todoist, click a project, click on icon to add Project Members, then tap on Close. Instantly crashes.

Either ipad or iphone, any os version (I tried a few).

Apparently, todoist can't take "No" for an answer and pouts by crashing lol.

Hello Stephen,

Please try to update your devices to iOS 7.1, make sure you have the latest version of our app and if the issue persists, please tell me - what version do you have?

There will also be an update to our app soon addressing multiple issues.

Best regards,

Well, I disagree that one should have to install an entirely new OS to "fix" a problem with end user software, lol...but ok, I'll bite. So, ehhhhm, I installed IOS 7.1...

...wait for it....

...wait for it... (cuz this took forever to get from Apple, btw..)

...bam!...same *exact* problem. Both on the ipad, and the iphone. Both devices 7.1, both using the latest version of your software (I have no updates due in my app store icon), version 8.0.2 (11570).

...did you try it? I can't believe this is only happening to me...anybody else duplicate this? I am doing this on two separate pieces of hardware, so its gotta be something wrong, eh? :-(

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't suggesting that an OS upgrade should fix a bug in our app, but in general, it's best to have it up-to-date in case the OS update actually does fix some system-wide issues.

Yes, I did try to reproduce it and it is indeed happening on the currently available version. I've tried on version 8.1 now and the issue is fixed there. So, as I've mentioned earlier, this new version will address multiple issues incl. this one, it will be (hopefully) soon reviewed by Apple and available for download.

Best regards,

Well, I might have been a little flippant, and I apologize for that ;-) . But I'm glad its fixed!
I guess I needed to update everything to 7.1 anyway, so it was something that needed doing.
